How To Interpret Undertaker’s Speech From Raw’s 25th Anniversary Episode

One of the things that have people talking after Raw’s 25th-anniversary episode is the Undertaker’s speech. Making a rare appearance after leaving his iconic attire in the ring at WrestleMania, the Deadman is the talk of the WWE once again. Here is the story!

The Undertaker’s Memorable Speech

Anyone who has watched the 25th-anniversary episode of Raw remembers the memorable speech of the Undertaker. Of course, being the mythical wrestling figure he is, he has a lot of people talking at the moment. This is the speech the Undertaker gave during the anniversary episode:

“For 25 years I’ve been digging holes in any person who dared step foot in the dark side. Got buried.”

“For 25 years I have taken legends and ripped them off their pedestal and thrown them in the cold earth.”

“Stone Cold answered to the reaper, Mick Foley answered to the reaper, even my own flesh and blood Kane had to answer to the reaper. They all tried, they all failed.”

“Now, on this sacred ground, I declare for all of those who have fallen it is truly time you rest in peace.”

The Opinion of Popular Media Channels

Popular media channels, including British Newspaper The Sun, have their own opinion about the speech the Undertaker gave during the 25th-anniversary episode. According to The Sun, the Phenom’s speech indicates that he is not retired and will make a surprise appearance during the Royal Rumble this year.

Some observant fans also noticed the absence of the legend’s normal entrance attire, which he left in the ring after being defeated by Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, leading them to believe that the American Badass might be on the table!

My Opinion

I believe the Undertaker is retired at this point and made a rare appearance during the anniversary episode. I don’t see him returning at the Royal Rumble or any other events in the nearby future.

One of the reasons why I believe this is the statement made by the man himself.

“Now, on this sacred ground, I declare for all of those who have fallen it is truly time you rest in peace.”

With this statement, I believe he is saying his opponents can rest easy, since he is now retired. Of course, this is all speculation at this point.

One thing I will say, I will be extremely surprised if the Undertaker is not inducted in the Hall of Fame this year if he is indeed retired. So, if he is not being inducted, does this mean a return is still in the cards?
