Twitter use @missgucciwitch ignited a firestorm on Monday, January 22 when she accused WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore of raping her.

Here is the thread she shared:

**Update**

WWE has fired Enzo Amore!

These are serious allegations. In today’s climate, accusations like this are always taken seriously. WWE responded quickly and have suspended Amore indefinitely.

“WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving sexual harassment or sexual assault. Until this matter is resolved, Eric Arndt (aka Enzo Amore) has been suspended.”

As we learned with the Rich Swann incident, this is standard procedure by WWE. Accusations like this are an immediate cause of investigation and suspension.
Enzo has responded via his attorney.

We hope justice and healing are served here. Sexual assault is at the front of everyone’s mind nowadays, and it is on all of us to make sure people feel free from sexual harassment and safe from violence. WWE doesn’t mess around in these situations. They’re pro-active and pro-victim.

Clued-in reporters are saying that Enzo misled WWE about the investigation.

It is possible that is what lead to the firing. WWE’s usually policy is just suspension and then firing if there’s a conviction (Rich Swann is still employed by WWE). Either that or WWE found more damming evidence. Either way. Amore is gone and the Cruiserweight Championship is vacant.

That makes four champions/top cruiserweight champions who have left WWE in one form or another in the last year. Some say the division is cursed.
