Could Daniel Bryan Perform at WrestleMania This Year?

Rumors about Daniel Bryan returning to the squared circle have been rampant! I, for one, am quite happy about these stories, since Bryan was (is) one of my favorite in-ring performers.

There is something new to report about Daniel Bryan’s possible return since he revealed his WWE wrestling deadline during an interview.

Wrestling at WrestleMania

Bryan stated that he would know his future with the company and as an in-ring competitor by Wrestlemania.

During an interview with famous sports magazine Sports Illustrated, Bryan made it clear:

“I assume that if I don’t wrestle by WrestleMania, I probably won’t be wrestling with WWE at all. That’s my assumption.”

“It’s not a black and white answer. There are a lot of issues with me getting cleared by WWE. They have a very strict protocol, which is a good thing, but the timeline of all that happening was not the best for me. It’s an interesting situation that will develop.”

Based on his statements, it is clear we will see Daniel Bryan in the ring again, possibly in 2018. Of course, it is uncertain if he will wrestle within the WWE.

Some little part of me hopes that the WWE is working for a significant match involving Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania, and they could be keeping it a secret for now.

Recently, it came to light that Shane McMahon is going to have a major match at WrestleMania as a part of the Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn feud. How great would it be if Shane faced Daniel Bryan? Time will tell…

Wanting to Face AJ Styles

As a professional wrestler, Daniel Bryan always had a right eye for talent. So, it is no surprise that he named AJ Styles as his dream opponent during the interview with Sports Illustrated. I’m not going to lie, that match has money written all over it. Damn, I would buy the merchandise for that match months in advance!

“One of my favorite guys to watch at WWE is AJ Styles. So, on the WWE stage, I would like to wrestle AJ Styles, only because I wrestled John Cena before.”

A very strategic answer from Daniel, giving props to his brother-in-law John Cena, who is considered to be semi-retired at this point. That being said, Cena makes more appearances than WWE part-timers.

Conclusion

Based on his interview with Sports Illustrated, it is crystal clear that Daniel Bryan has his heart set on wrestling in 2018. Whether it will be within the WWE or not, there is a lot to be excited about. Still, how beautiful would it be to see Bryan make his return to the grandest stage of them all?
