WWE has finally found someone who can make the WWE Universe cheer for Roman Reigns, and his name is Jason Jordan.

On the December 5th Raw, WWE took a gamble by giving Jordan’s the opening segment of – and it paid off big time. Jordan whined like the entitled little brat he is, and when nepotism didn’t get him what he wanted he decided to provoke Roman Reigns into giving him a title shot – by attacking him from behind literally seconds after claiming that he’s a “real tough guy” who doesn’t need to attack people from behind.

And the entire time, the crowd in the Staples Center couldn’t stop booing him.

I’ll be honest: despite Jordan’s obvious in-ring ability, I wasn’t interested in watching him – until this moment. Jordan’s “turn” marked a huge pivot for Jordan’s character. Up until then, WWE presented Jordan as a sympathetic babyface eager to follow in his father’s footsteps. It was cheesy, cringey, and awkward – and he seriously risked turning into another Roman Reigns. WWE was right to turn him into an indignant heel. Not only is this version of Jordan far more interesting, but again: he made the fans cheer for Reigns.

Besides that Jordan also proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he can go with the best of them in the ring.

This feud has huge potential. Add Samoa Joe into the mix, and there’s sure to be some quality matches coming our way in the future.

Am I the only one who wanted to punch Jordan listening to him whine in that segment? Hopefully, WWE will learn from this successful gamble and continue to build Jordan up as a chickenshit heel – something they haven’t really had since Seth Rollins’ WWE Championship reign.
