You can say with confidence that there was some magic in the air when an 86-year-old grandmother, named Dorothy Czartorski, strolled down the aisle as a flower girl in her granddaughter’s wedding. This proud grandmother looked beautiful, and happy, as she got to be a part of this special day!
According to Good Morning America, “The snazzy grandma sported fairy wings and a magic wand as she was pushed down the aisle. “I was working it back and forth,” she said of the wand. “You know how that goes — like a queen.” Her granddaughter, Keely Crimando, said her grandmother is her “bestie” and couldn’t imagine excluding her on the big day.
“My grandma means the world to me. It’s hard to narrow it down to words what she means to me,” Crimando, 26, said. “She also is a very inspiring person. She’s resilient and worked so hard. She’s also my best friend. We always catch up on gossip, and she was the first one I called when I knew Michael [Crimando] was the one.”
Women love weddings, so this moment had to be incredibly special for Keely and her grandmother. Can you imagine being 86-years-old and have the opportunity to be a flower girl? This is one of those moments you’ll never forget, and it will bring you such happiness every time you think about it for the rest of your life.
What I love about this grandma is that she’s still got it. Dorothy was the star of the ceremony and everyone took notice of her beauty and grace! I wish I had attended this wedding so I could have asked Dorothy what was going through her head! I’m sure she was overcome with happiness the entire day!
