Fast and Furious star and talented singer Tyrese Gibson has been feuding with Hollywood’s #1 movie draw and fellow Fast and Furious actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and on Wednesday it really got personal.
Gibson claimed he is willing to walk away from the franchise if Johnson is in the upcoming film.
Tyrese captioned the photo of him and Vin Diesel standing next to Johnson in better times, with a threat heard around the Hollywood scene.
“Hello, world………. hello loyal fans and loved ones from OUR fast universe…….. I’m sorry to announce that if Dewayne is in Fast9 there will no more Roman Peirce”
Word got out that Johnson is getting a movie spinoff from the franchise centering around his own character, Luke Hobbs.
While I can’t believe Gibson would be jealous of another man getting a movie deal, the beef goes further than the silver screen. Gibson is engaged in a legal battle with his ex-wife over custody of his daughter and he felt Johnson sabotaged his chances of getting a solo movie.
Gibson has publicly stated he has no beef with Johnson, but his Instagram posts seem to tell a much different story.
I don’t want to start adding fuel to this troubling situation but if they did offer a spinoff to Johnson, I don’t think they would care if Gibson left the series for good.
Remember, the late Paul Walker was the star of the series before he died, but the franchise continued without him. Gibson should fix this problem before he wrecks his career and has no stable source of income, which could hurt his chances of getting custody of his daughter.
