Injuries happen in the WWE. It ain’t ballet. It seems the dangers of the ring have attacked masked Superstar Sin Cara. The luchador appeared to injure his leg while ducking a clothesline from Baron Corbin during a Triple-Threat match for the US Title. The incident took place in Madrid, Spain and Sami Zayn was also in the match.

Here is a video of the incident. You can see Zayn and the ref talk to him after the incident.

A photographer captured the exact moment of the injury, and it looks like Corbin’s foot caught Sin Cara’s knee. It is a bit cringy and not for the faint of heart.

It looks like the luchador twisted both his ankle and his knee.

This couldn’t come at a worse time. He is in the midst of a mini-push while he feuds against Corbin. He also recently got his custom shoe line at Foot Locker. It is believed the high-flyer will compete for the US title for a while.

But it looks like Sin Cara won’t miss much time

via Dave Meltzer:

… Sin Cara was medically cleared today. Sin Cara, who has been involved in a feud with Baron Corbin on television, suffered the injury in a match against Corbin and Sami Zayn for the United States Championship.

Jorge Arias, the name behind the mask, is the second wrestler to don the mask for WWE. The previous and original Sin Cara, known as Mistico in Mexico, famously quit the company after refusing to learn English and becoming a handful backstage. Arias wrestled as Incognito in Mexico and Hunico in WWE before becoming the man without a face.

Arias is well-known backstage for being a bit rough-and-tumble. He’s won at least two fights backstage.
