George Carlin’s Hilarious Routine Mocks The Liberal Lunacy All Around Us

Not one to sugarcoat, George Carlin had a different approach to comedy. He didn’t just make you laugh, he made you think too. Carlin was both shrewd and a comic so he saw modern political correctness coming from a mile away! And, even if you didn’t agree with him, Carlin always had your mind working while you were laughing.

George Carlin Takes On Political Correctness

In the video below, George Carlin tackles how we use certain words to sterilize the meanings of things to make us feel better. The no-nonsense comedian knew we were on a destructive path towards modern political correctness.

Carlin begins by speaking about the different terms of PTSD and how changing the labeling of it over time actually hurt the soldiers suffering from it. It was initially called “shellshock” and this directly explained what these brave soldiers suffered from.

The best part comes at the end when he talks about trying to make us feel better about aging and death. In typical Carlin style, he points out the nonsense and comes down hard on the BS!

Toilet paper became bathroom tissues, old people became senior citizens, and in the video below, Carlin brilliantly explains what nonsense this version of a sterilized language is and how it actually hurts us.

Some things Carlin mentioned in the video have gotten even more sanitized since. Forget senior citizens, they are now “people of advanced age.”

Carlin was so right. We use a lot of this language to make us feel better about ourselves. Sometimes these words are nothing more than putting lipstick on a pig!

Leaving A Legacy

George Carlin died in 2008. I can’t imagine what he would have to say about the political correctness of today. The college kids needing to seek protection from other points of view would drive him mad.

Carlin challenged both the left and the right not to be foolish or hypocritical. His mind would absolutely explode at the nonsense of today! I really would love to see him take on the modern Left.
