If you thought Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor McGregor was going to back down after a threat against his life, even one coming from the famed Kinahan drug cartel, then you don’t know “Notorious.”

McGregor was in court on Thursday to answer for a speeding ticket, but didn’t show up when initially called because he was too busy negotiating his next UFC fight taking selfies on Instagram. In fact, his lawyer had to pretty much beg him to get his ass in front of the judge.

Who was not impressed.

“I’m getting nothing but fingers from Mr. McGregor,” said Judge Miriam Walsh (via Irish Mirror). “If he’s making a case he has to be here. This is absolute disrespect to the court. I am very annoyed with Mr. McGregor.”

McGregor was fined a few hundred bucks and told he would be arrested for his next no-show.

Maybe they should try that in UFC?

As for that pesky mob hit, which came after the trash-talking Irishman got mixed up in a barroom brawl, McGregor did not seem fazed in any way. Driving off in one of his many super cars, “Notorious” shouted “Come and get me!”

I’m sure we haven’t heard the last of this.
