Woman Gets Herself Dragged Off Plane But No One Feels Sorry For Her

A woman claiming to have life-threatening pet allergies was dragged off a Southwest flight on Tuesday. The woman had noticed two dogs on the plane and demanded they be removed from the flight.

When she failed to present documentation about this severe allergy, local law enforcement intervened after she refused requests to get off the plane herself. She said she had to remain on the flight because her father was having surgery. She didn’t seem to care about the plans of the people with dogs that she wanted booted from the plane.

“Our policy states that a customer (without a medical certificate) may be denied boarding if they report a life-threatening allergic reaction and cannot travel safely with an animal onboard,” Southwest Airlines said in a statement.

Passenger Bill Dumas took video of the altercation. He claimed the woman was acting “odd” and said that officers were “doing what needed to be done.” The woman claimed police ripped her pants, but no evidence of this is shown on Dumas’s viral video below.

If she had a life-threatening allergy to dogs, shouldn’t it have been her responsibility to inform the airline of that before purchasing a ticket? Animals travel on flights rather routinely. She can’t expect to delay everyone else at the last minute. If her life was at stake, she should have known what precautions to take. Is she even telling the truth?

The Maryland Transportation Authority Police stated that the woman was “arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order, disturbing the peace, obstructing and hindering a police officer and resisting arrest.”

I can’t fault the police for removing her. She can’t demand that other people be removed from the flight because she didn’t properly prepare or provide documentation about a supposed life-threatening illness. I’d rather fly with dogs than someone selfish!

When she knew she was getting booted from the plane, she could have prevented the drama and walked off herself. She put herself in this position and forced police to remove her.
