Ronda Rousey Challenges Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Bayley to a Four Horsewomen Showdown

The Mae Young Classic has been absolutely fantastic so far, and I HIGHLY recommend watching if you haven’t already binged all eight episodes currently available on the WWE Network. Kairi Sane vs. Bianca Belair is particularly worth your time.

WARNING: ***SPOILER ALERT*** below!

But, as is usually the case with WWE, the action isn’t just happening inside the ring.

After Shayna Baszler defeated Mia Yim to advance to the quarterfinals, Baszler’s BFFs Ronda Rousey, Marina Shafir, and Jessamyn Duke – who call themselves the Four Horsewomen – were confronted by three of WWE’s Four Horsewomen – Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Bayley – in the parking lot outside Full Sail.

And Rousey issued a challenge:

“You name the time, you name the place.”

This incident all but confirms that the two sets of Four Horsewomen will clash sometime in the near future – and my money’s on Survivor Series. WrestleMania is just too far away, and Survivor Series – taking place Nov. 19th in Houston – is the next major/joint RAW-SmackDown pay-per-view. Survivor Series is also notable for featuring tag team elimination matches, which would be a perfect way for these two teams to battle.

And speaking of the teams, my money’s also on WWE’s Four Horsewomen.

Of the two teams, Flair’s group holds a far better claim to the “Four Horsewomen” title. It’s not even a contest: Flair takes the name from her father, who’s literally in the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Four Horsemen. Rousey, on the other hand, uses the name because she’s a fan – which is nice, but it’s nothing compared to a pedigree.

Furthermore, while Rousey may be one of the world’s best combat fighters, a WWE Superstar she is not. It would be foolish of WWE to book their top women to lose to a bunch of outsiders, (Baszler excluded.)

I’m also just not a fan of the idea of Rousey joining WWE, but that’s a post for another time. However, would I pay to see a tag team elimination battle between the two sets of rival Four Horsewomen? Abso-freaking-lutely.

What do you think about Ronda Rousey’s challenge? Would you be excited to see a Four Horsewomen showdown at Survivor Series? Who do you think would win?Share your thoughts and comments below!
