A Robert E. Lee statue in Dallas was on the chopping block after politically correct liberals demanded its removal, claiming its presence was offensive. It was scheduled to be removed but a tragic accident has postponed it, keeping it in its place, for now.
A crane that was scheduled to remove the statue in Dallas was involved in a fatal collision Sunday night. The crane was headed to Lee Park when a semi-trailer ran a red light and collided with it. The driver was killed as a result. More information is in the video below.
The crane had been in Houston helping with Hurricane Harvey clean-up. That delayed the removal of the Confederate statue by a week. Now that the crane is damaged, removal is again delayed.
