During this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, we seemed to be witnessing an impending split of the Hype Bros. Rumors are flying after Zack Ryder refused to shake hands with Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin after their match. However, I believe a split of the Hype Bros could be bad for businesses, and this is why!

What Happened?

The Hype Bros took on the team of Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin on the Las Vegas edition of SmackDown Live. However, after coming up short to the new tag team, Zack Ryder refused to shake hands with his opponents and left the ring.

Naturally, the gesture makes many people believe that the Hype Bros are on the verge of splitting up (again). It also also appears that the company is considering turning Ryder heel.

Comments By Mojo Rawley Seemed to Confirm a Split

For an interview with WWE.com, Mojo Rawley seemed to confirm the problems going on in the tag team at the moment. He commented on his accomplishments while Ryder was hurt, and then quickly pointed to the fact that they can’t even win a match since Ryder has returned. There is certainly trouble in paradise!

Why Breaking Up the Hype Bros Is a Bad Idea?

Honestly, I think breaking up the Hype Bros is the worst idea the WWE has had in a long time. Remember, fans are still recovering from some of the biggest friendship breakups in history, including Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho; R-Truth and Goldust; and Enzo Amore and Big Cass. I honestly don’t want to see it happen again.

Let’s face it, the storyline was tired before all the breakups this year, but now it is even worse. The WWE have not given the Hype Bros any time to shine either, but they are willing to kill it before it even begins?

The only thing I have to say is that I am done with all the broken friendships (unless it’s Broken Matt Hardy and Brother Nero), as well as the doom and gloom in wrestling. A couple of years ago, we got loads of fun moments, just as much as we got drama. Now, it seems drama is the only thing the WWE is willing to give us. Thank goodness we still have the Fashion Police!

Forgettable Tag Team Division

hype bros split wwe

Of course, the impending split of the Hype Bros created an additional problem. Despite the transfer of the New Day to the blue brand, the tag team division has been lacking direction.

There is nothing wrong with the talent in the tag team division of the blue brand, but there is certainly something wrong with the creative department. Many WWE superstars are left without any good storylines; this does not only apply to the tag team division, but also to the women’s roster! Get your act together, WWE!

Should the Hype Bros be split up? Or do you believe this is another mistake made by the WWE on the blue brand? Let us know your unsalted opinions in the comment section below! We look forward to reading them!
