In this current era, many people get offended by seemingly everything. They find something to be offended about everywhere they look. These accusations of racism and sexism are tiresome for most of us so sometimes you just have to laugh off the nonsense
A woman who complained on Hobby Lobby’s Facebook page is the butt of quite a few jokes after claiming the craft store was selling racially insensitive decor that seems rather benign to the average person.
Danielle Rider posted a picture of bottles holding cotton. This is a rather simple decoration but Rider took offense to it, claiming it was insensitive to slavery.
Her post has been shared over 17,000 times and has amassed over 162,000 comments, most of which point out the ridiculous nature of her accusation. People who aren’t slaves have picked plenty of cotton. Slavery was outlawed long ago, and many Americans use cotton on a daily basis. Does Danielle believe wearing cotton clothing is racially insensitive, too?
A sample of some of the thousands of comments is below.
Hobby Lobby hasn’t justified this ludicrous accusation of racism with a response. It appears regular people are pointing out the flaw in Danielle’s nonsensical charges.
Share this as a show of opposition to overly sensitive liberals!
