The Biggest Issues Facing the WWE Right Now

The WWE has some serious problems to deal with, especially since the number of Network subscribers has not reached the WWE’s target after WrestleMania.

While the WWE is looking to cut back some of its expenses, booking, and story-lines leave much to be desired. So, what are the biggest issues the WWE needs to deal with now?

Restore the WWE Universal Title

With paper champion Brock Lesnar at the helm of the WWE Universal Championship, the status of this title has dwindled dramatically. Lesnar does not care much about putting on good matches, he just wants to pick up his paycheck. His appearances have also been limited, so his title should be stripped as fast as possible.

Rumours early this year seemed to indicate that Lesnar would hold the title until WrestleMania. However, there are a lot of rumours that Brock is returning to the UFC sooner rather than later. This could mean that Lesnar finally loses the title at SummerSlam.

Get Better Bookings for Big Superstars!

The bookings for some of the major talent on both RAW and SmackDown have been abysmal, to say the least. Just think about Shinsuke Nakamura, Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor. Of course, even some big matches has left much to be desired, especially when you consider the loss of Samoa Joe against Brock Lesnar.

Samoa Joe losing against Lesnar did not make sense to me. Joe put in the best promos, while Lesnar and Heyman were just coasting along in my opinion.

SmackDown Live does not escape my wrath today either because of the matches between their “main” attractions – Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton – are a combination of bad booking and bad storytelling. Even though SmackDown Live is doing a little better than RAW creatively, the show is losing my interest just as quickly.

Give the Adult Audience More

The WWE hoped that the PG-era would lead to more profits since it spoke more to kids. However, the PG-era seems to have done quite the opposite, with both adult and child viewers losing interest. At the end of the day, if something is PG, children also lose interest, because it is something they are “allowed” to watch.

Prioritise Worthy Superstars

Brock Lesnar and Jinder Mahal are prime examples of pushes that never should have happened. There are dozens of superstars in the locker room that work their behind off to get their moment in the spotlight. Unfortunately, despite their talent and wrestling skills, the WWE seems more interested in their own wishes than those of the fans.

At this time, superstars that deserve good bookings at major pay-per-views include Shinsuke Nakamura, A.J. Styles, Kevin Owens, Fin Balor, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, and Seth Rollins.

There are some Superstars that should be used more too. In my opinion, these stars deserve more time in the spotlight: Heath Slater & Rhino, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, Mustafa Ali, Emma, Jack Gallagher, Kalisto, and the Ascension.

What is your opinion about the problems in the WWE? What would you suggest to increase the interest of WWE fans? Let us know your unsalted opinions below and we look forward to reading them!
