During a “Brooklyn Street Fight” between Enzo and Big Cass, the 7-foot tall giant was felled not by the loud Guido, but by an awkward fall that injured his knee. He tried to stand up on it. But it was clear he was very hurt.

It looked pretty bad when it happened. Big Cass’ reaction let us know how real it was too. He was cussing and extremely upset. Now we know why. The Superstar tore his ACL and a meniscus. According to WWE, the injury is serious. Cass will be out for quite some time.

“It looks like he has an ACL tear, possibly a medial meniscus tear, but we’re going to wait for the radiologist to evaluate the MRI and give us their full report,” WWE ringside physician Dr. Chris Robinson said.

The seven-footer will be undergoing surgery this week to repair the damage, which will be the start of a long road back to the squared circle.

“A typical ACL tear takes about nine months [to recover from],” Robinson said.

Cass has already undergone surgery.

Big Cass’ Silver Lining

Like with a lot of injuries that befell wrestlers, the setback is long but it may be a blessing in disguise. Big Cass was just getting out of a horrible feud with his former tag partner Enzo Amore. I think it would be smart for WWE to put the two back together when Cass returns. The two are not good on their own. There’s a reason they worked so well together. Why mess with something that was working? Enzo has time to mess around on 205 Live for the next few months. So when he’s done with that, perhaps we can get the REALEST GUYS IN THE ROOM back together.
