‘The Wonder Years’ was one of the most popular shows on television in the late 80s and early 90s. During its six-year run, the show aired 115 episodes and received dozens of award nominations.

Despite the show’s popularity, it was abruptly cancelled after a major dispute between the show’s producers and executives at ABC. Since then, fans of the hit show have clamored for a reunion, and star Fred Savage is finally addressing the issue.

In an interview with “Vanity Fair” Savage admitted that a reboot of the popular show is “not going to happen” but said he never gets tired of hearing fans pitch ideas about it.

During the interview, Savage described “the fact that I was part of something that still means so much to people, and after all these years they still want it to be on the air, they still think about it… I mean, that’s a really special thing. Some people work their whole careers and don’t get that! So, no, I’ll never get tired of that. That’ll never stop being meaningful to me or stop making me feel incredibly special. But my answer will remain the same—so I won’t get tired of people asking if everyone else doesn’t get tired of me saying, “No, it’s not going to happen.”

Sadly, it doesn’t look like a ‘Wonder Years’ reboot will occur anytime soon, but all of us fans can keep dreaming!
