Natalee Holloway disappeared in Aruba over 12 years ago. The 18 year old had gone on a school trip and never came home. Nobody knows what happened to her as her body was never found, but many American watched in horror as her disappearance was widely publicized without any progress being made.
Joran van der Sloot has long been suspected of killing the Alabama teen, but he never faced a trail. He now is in a Peruvian jail after pleading guilty to killing a woman in a casino there.
Natalee’s father Dave still is on the hunt to find out the truth. He has come up empty handed for 12 long years but he is hopeful that his latest trip to Aruba might have unearthed some new information.
Oxygen will be premiere The Disappearance of Natalee Holloway on August 19th. The six part series follows Dave’s trip to Aruba where he met with a new witness who claims to be a roommate of one of van der Sloot’s accomplices in Natalee’s murder. You can see the trailer below.
This is clearly an emotional journey for Dave Holloway. He didn’t want Natalee to go on the trip as he explains in the video below. The “what ifs” must consume the grieving father’s mind.
Hopefully the Holloway family can get some answers that will help bring about some sort of closure for her grieving father.
