Anti-Trump comedian George Lopez posted a photo to Instagram Friday telling the president that if he wants to make America safer he should “deport the police.”
This makes no sense at all:
Unsurprisingly, Lopez received such backlash from the post that he set his Instagram account to private.
“How about you go put on a uniform and see how it is. You know nothing of sacrifice!!” wrote one commenter.
“This is a very irresponsible comment bro. You have really disappointed me bro, I thought you were better than that,” said another.
Other commenters wrote that Lopez, due to his anti-police remarks, shouldn’t call the evil cops when his life is in danger, which will certainly not happen.
“I realize there are some bad apples in the bunch but your statement puts all cops in the bad bunch category. Please stick to comedy. You’re not that funny when you bring politics into your posts,” said another offended commenter.
Lopez’s post is pure ignorance. The police are the ones keeping Americans safe from illegal immigrants who consistently break the law and commit violent crime.
