Radical Animal Rights Group Attacks Family For Fishing! (VIDEO)

A radical animal rights group in Florida, which was responsible for harassing customers at Chick-fil-A this week, has set their sights on a St. Petersburg family, harassing them for daring to fish together.

The group, called Direct Action Everywhere Pinellas, was caught confronting a family at Crescent Lake, and can be seen lecturing two men minding their own business before grabbing the fish they caught and throwing it back in the lake.

In the video, one protester confronted the men, telling them that fishing was immoral and that fishing hurt the fish.

One of the men fishing, Bob Hope, said “I turned to him and I said ‘I respect your opinion but I don’t share your opinion so we’re going to continue fishing.’”

Afterwards, six or seven individuals ambushed the family and began to harass them. However, activist Kayla Learning disputes the story, claiming they were just trying to save the fish and did nothing wrong.

Police arrived after the incident, but the individuals associated with the animal rights group were already leaving and no arrests were made.

The police released a statement about the incident:

When the officer arrived, the protesters were already getting in their cars. The primary concern for the officer was to restore the peace and the officer didn’t witness any disorderly conduct or criminal activity. The officer documented the call as well as the names, addresses, and auto tag numbers of the principal protesters. Whether one agrees with the message or not, any group has a right to free speech in a public park. The officer acted appropriately under the circumstances.
