Steph Curry

Golden State Warriors elite guard and NBA champion Steph Curry will not be attending the White House even if he is invited.

Curry spoke to reporters on Wednesday, “Somebody asked me about it a couple months ago, a hypothetical, if a championship were to happen, what would I do? I think I answered I wouldn’t go. Still feel like that today.”

Curry also previously called the President an ass after Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank said Trump is “a real asset to our country.” Curry responded, “I agree with that description, if you remove the ‘et.”

Rumors swirled yesterday that the entire team would not be attending the White House, however an official statement contradicted those rumors. However, they didn’t leave out the option to reject the invitation to the White House.

“We have not received an invitation to the White House, but will make those decisions when and if necessary.”

While Curry is the only Warrior to come out and say he wouldn’t attend the White House after winning the Championship, his teammate and backup point guard Shaun Livingston said he “definitely wouldn’t go” in a radio interview in February.

The Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is also no fan of President Donald Trump especially his travel ban. He said the ban is “against the principles of what our country is about.”

Warriors power forward David West has called President Trump’s election “unnerving and unsettling.”

Livingston did tell reporters how the team would make the decision if they would attend the White House.

“It’s a panel. Our captains lead the panel. Other guys weigh in. Everyone has a voice. I’ve stated my opinions before.”

Given Curry being one of the leaders, it’s highly unlikely the Warriors will decide to attend, that’s if President Trump even invites them.

Do you think President Trump should even invite the Golden State Warriors to the White House given their animosity and outright hostility towards him?
