Clint was drafted into the Army during the Korean War. But, his job wasn’t on the front line. He was a swimming instructor! Clint swam competitively in high school so the Army used his swimming skills to train other soldiers.
Surprisingly, both Clint Eastwood and Burt Reynolds were fired for their looks in 1959. Universal Studios through the two future stars didn’t make the grade, so they gave them the boot!
