Alison Krauss has the voice of an angel and her 27 Grammys back it up. But her latest single, “River in the Rain” might just be her best yet!
“River in the Rain” is Krauss’ latest single off her new album Windy City, her first in 18 years since her 1999 album Forget About It.
You might recognize “River in the Rain” from country legend Roger Miller’s 1985 musical Big River based off Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
Take a listen as Alison Krauss dressed in black provides her angelic vocals to an absolutely heavenly song.
Krauss talked to Rolling Stone about her new album, “On this album, I wanted to sing songs that are older than I am. There’s a real romance in singing other people’s stories.”
While River in the Rain is younger than Krauss, she couldn’t have hit the nail on the head any better about the real romance. “River in the Rain” has that real romance that isn’t present in many modern songs. Roger Miller would be extremely proud of this rendition!
Share with your friends and family this absolutely gorgeous rendition of River in the Rain that just might bring tears to your eyes!
