Wildebeest Defends Calf From Hungry Leopard

It’s tough to watch natural violence in the wild. In this video, a wildebeest mother tries to save her calf from a leopard on the hunt.

When the video starts, the leopard already has hold of the calf. The mother comes over and chases the leopard off and then tries to get her calf up and away from the threat.

Watch:

Unfortunately, it appears the wildebeest’s calf suffered nerve or spinal damage from the original attack and could not walk. Sadly, the mother gives up and the calf is left to become the leopard’s dinner.
