Country fans are praying for Loretta Lynn after it was announced she had a stroke Thursday evening in her Tennessee home.
The 85-year-old singer is responsive. She is currently hospitalized and will not be able to tour during her recovery from the stroke.
Lynn has had an eventful year. She was an early endorser of Donald Trump in the presidential election. It was previously announced that her album “Wouldn’t It Be Great,” is being released in August.
The Coal Miner’s Daughter’s storied career has spanned decades. Even in her older years, she continues to entertain. Now, she needs to rest and recover as best she can.
Long time fans will remember Loretta singing “Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’,” which you can see in the video below.
Loretta and her family could use our prayers right now. I pray that she finds strength and comfort as she recovers from this stroke.
