ESPN legendary broadcaster Chris Berman suffered a tragic loss yesterday with the death of his wife. She was killed in a car accident close to their Connecticut home, the day before Chris’s 62nd birthday. He and Katherine were married in 1983 and have two adult children.
Katherine’s Lexus hit the back of 87-year-old Edward Bertulis’s Ford Escape. Berman’s car veered off the road and flipped into a body of water. The force of the impact caused Bertulis’s car to hit a utility pole. Both drivers were killed by the collision.
Chris learned about his wife’s death during the San Francisco Giants and New York Mets game. Now, he is suddenly dealing with this tragedy.
