Active Shooter Dallas

Update: A new report indicates one of the paramedics has died.

Earlier:

Police are responding to an active shooter in the 3200 block of Reynolds Avenue in East Dallas.

The Dallas Police Association reports a fireman has been shot and police officers are pinned down by gunfire.

A witness reports there were three to four shots after fire and ambulance arrived at the initial scene.

CBS DFW reports the injured firefighter has been transported to Baylor Hospital. His condition is unknown at the time.

Police are seeking a black male wearing a dark green shirt and jeans. They note he is bald and may be armed with a rifle. They described him as about 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 200 pounds. They said he walks with a noticeable limp.

Police have shut down I-30 in both directions and are evacuating nearby residents from their homes as they pursue the suspect.
