Kim Jung Un

Kimg Jung Un’s North Korean regime detained U.S. citizen Tony Kim on Saturday, bringing the number of U.S. citizens detained by the crazy dictatorship up to three.

Not only did North Korea detain Tony Kim, they threatened to sink the U.S. Carl Vinson, an aircraft carrier deployed to the Korean by President Trump as a warning to the communist nation after their missile and nuclear tests.

The Rodong Sinmun, North Korea’s state media, reported, “Our revolutionary are combat-ready to sink a US nuclear powered aircraft carrier with a single strike.”

Watch:

The threat from North Korea came after they detained Tony Kim. Kim was teaching accounting at the Pyongyang University of Science and Technology (PUST) before he was arrested on Saturday.

Kim holds dual citizenship with the United States and South Korea and was detained at the Pyongyang International Airport attempting to leave the country.

The university’s chancellor, Chan-Mo Park told Reuters “The cause of his arrest is not known but some officials at PUST told me his arrest was not related to his work at PUST. He had been involved with some other activities outside PUST such as helping an orphanage.” He continued, “I sincerely hope and pray that he will be released soon.”

Watch:

North Korea has also detained Americans Otto Warmbier and Kim Dong Chul. Warmbier was arrested last January and sentenced to 15 years of hard labor after attempting to steal a propaganda banner. Chul is a Korean American missionary who was sentenced to 10 years hard labor for subversion.

North Korea also detained Canadian pastor Hyeon Soo Lim for subversion. He was given a life sentence of hard labor in 2015.
