This School Just Banned “Tag” – The Reason Why Will Have You Fuming!

Gold Ridge Elementary in Folsom, California, just banned “tag,” the classic playground game. School authorities worried that the game contained too much physical contact.

From the The Daily Wire:

After four children in fourth and fifth grade at Gold Ridge Elementary in Folsom were deemed to have played the game with too much physical contact, all physical contact in the schoolyard was banned, as the Sacramento Bee reported.

According to the Bee, Principal David Frankel notified four parents that their kids had been warned about being too rough. His note read, “Today, we implemented new procedures at school aimed at reducing physical contact and related problem behaviors. Student(s) were instructed that physical contact, including tag games, touch football, etc., were not allowed in the yard.”

There’s an easy way to take care of this: Just stop the kids who are playing rough, and sit them down. You don’t have to cancel the game completely.

Gold Ridge should be ashamed of itself in preventing kids from being kids. Once this happens, what’s next? Will recess be taken away?

The school administrators are out of control:

When I see things like this happening across our country, I feel bad for the real Americans who have to deal with it. God bless them, because I would be up-in-arms.

What do you think about these school officials stopping the game of tag to punish all the kids, when only a few are abusing the system? Leave your opinions below in the comment section.
