Randy Travis just experienced an important milestone related to his 2013 stroke.
Travis’s wife explained in an interview with CNN that when she and her husband were driving from Memphis to Nashville, “overhead was a sign, ‘Nashville,’ and he was over in the passenger seat and went, ‘Woo-hoo,’ and he pointed up, and he said, ‘Nashville.’”
She said reading and saying that sign was a huge thing for Randy. It wasn’t that long ago that Randy wasn’t even able to listen to his own music, but now he can and he even read that sign!
Randy and Mary have put a lot of trust in the Lord. Randy listens to gospel music frequently for strength and to embolden his faith. It is very challenging for him to sing since his massive stroke, but he pulled off “Amazing Grace” when he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame last year.
You can see that video below.
Randy is making progress, but like anyone, he can use our prayers and encouragement. I’m happy to hear that he is taking steps towards improving!
Share this if you are praying for Randy Travis!
