Alison Krauss’ talents know no bounds. The country and bluegrass star has earned dozens of Grammy’s for a reason. She has the voice of an angel.
Alison had a few songs on the soundtrack for the 2000 movie “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” This soundtrack is amazing and one of my all time favorites. Alison is a big reason why so many people love the music.
One of the most memorable songs was “I’ll Fly Away.” Alison Krauss sang it with Gillian Welch. It’s a classic hymn that these two women put a gorgeous spin on decades after it was written.
You can hear these two ladies sing it in the video below:
Gorgeous! The first time I watched O Brother, Where Art Thou?, I immediately was drawn to that song and I wasn’t even a fan of this sort of music at the time!
Share with your friends and family if you love Alison Krauss and Gillian Welch’s version of “I’ll Fly Away!”
