Military Veteran Slain By Illegal Alien Who Had Been Deported!

This murder was senseless and unwarranted.

Navy veteran Jose Luis Oviedo, who served nine years in the Navy and then six years in the U.S. Naval Reserve, was murdered in cold blood by a previously deported illegal alien.  In late January, Andres Roberto Ortiz, an illegal immigrant from Honduras, brutally savaged and beat Jose Oviedo outside of his home.

The beating was so severe it left Oviedo in a coma for over a month. This past Friday, Oveido’s family took him off life support and he succumbed to his wounds.

Breitbart News reports, “[Oviedo] was at his home when the Honduran illegal immigrant arrived and assaulted him to steal the vehicle.” The police originally found that vehicle in a ditch and were able to trace it back to Oviedo’s home where they found him lying unconscious in front of his home.

McAllen police pulled Ortiz over in an unrelated traffic stop and transferred him to Border Patrol and then to Immigration and Customs Enfrocement (ICE). An hour before ICE was about to deport him, McAllen police made the connection that Ortiz was the man who attacked Oviedo.

Ortiz was originally charged with one count of aggravated robbery, but prosecutors and the McAllen police are consulting on whether those charges should be upgraded to capital murder following Oviedo’s death.

Local news station KRGV confirms that they will be upgrading Ortiz’s charges to murder.

Mr. Oviedo’s son told KRGV that his opinion on immigration has definitely changed since the brutal attack on his father,

“I had no real opinion as far as the immigration stance goes, but now I believe that something like this could have been prevented had the right steps been taken,” he said.

His family and friends set up a Go Fund Me Account to help raise funds for Mr. Oviedo’s family. They announced that funeral services will be held at Del Angel Chapel of Remembrance in Mission, Texas, on Wednesday, March 1st. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, March 2nd at 10 am at Del Angel Funeral Chapel of Remembrance.

It’s beyond me how liberals will continue to promote illegal aliens when criminal acts like this are on the rise daily.

Someone told me a long time ago, the only way for liberals to wake up is if a tragic event happens in their living room. I am not wishing for that to happen, but someone needs to get shaken about all these homicides from illegal aliens, especially the ones that have been deported one or more times.
