Jackie Evancho, opera singer famous for her time on “America’s Got Talent” has decided to attend and perform at the Trump Inauguration on January 20th.

On NBC’s Today show on Wednesday, she confirmed she was recently asked by the president-elect to perform “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
“I am so excited. It’s going to be awesome,” she said on the “Today” show.
“I felt really honored to be able to sing for the office,” she said on “Today,” according to The Hill. “It’s a great honor for me.” The Hill was among the first to report on her performance for the inauguration.
There are a lot of celebrities and musicians and activists making a big fuss about NOT attending the Trump inauguration. It is wonderful to see a star and genuine talent agree to celebrate the peaceful transition of our democracy!

I loved Jackie! She has such a great, original voice! I think it is unfair to say she is just “opera”! She is much much more! I’m so glad she’ll be doing our National Anthem!
