Just the opening of the song captures the essence of Thanksgiving.

“Thanksgiving Song” debuted on Mary Chapin Carpenter’s Come Darkness, Come Light: Twelve Songs of Christmas” in 1995. The album broke into the top 10 on the holiday album chart that year!
