Tennessee Wildfires

Wildfires are ravaging areas in the Smoky Mountains. People in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are fleeing as properties go up in flames. The fires began on November 23rd and are spreading in Eastern Tennessee. Arson is suspected.

Even Dollywood has been impacted. As you can see from the pictures below, the devastation is enormous. Workers there were helping firefighters protect the park, but it was eventually evacuated on Monday night.

Two inches of rain is expected and is sorely needed as it would help combat the fires. Please pray for rain to help alleviate this situation.

As the news video below details, this is a dire situation for the people of that area.

Even Ripley’s Aquarium had to be evacuated. Workers had to leave 10,518 animals behind in order to save their own lives. The animals should be fine as long as the building doesn’t catch fire or lose power.

The General Manager of the Aquarium spoke to the local news. There was no other choice than to have the employees get to safety. Thankfully, the building can operate on its own and provide for the animals for the time being.

The people in this area could use our prayers. Even after this ends, they will return to extensive damage. The pictures and video are absolutely terrifying.

Share this if you are praying for rain and for the safety of the people and animals of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge!
