The fires that have plagued the southeast in areas of Tennessee, North Carolina, and Georgia have been pretty devastating to the area. Worse yet, all of the fires are being investigated as arson. Winds kicked up fires in Gatlinburg, Tennessee so bad it was a raging inferno. Some of the Smoky Mountain Cabins in Dollywood tragically burned down, but in the midst of that, there was some hope.

An employee of Dollywood, helping to clean up the damage, spotted a piece of paper laying in a puddle. The employee, Isaac McCord said:

“As soon as I got down on the ground, I noticed it was a Bible verse, and I was like holy crap. It was in a puddle of water. I said, ‘I want to take care of this the best way I can,’ so I gently scooped it up and carried it out the best I could.”

The passage that was visible was from the book of Joel in the Old Testament and said:

“O Lord, to thee will I cry: For the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field”

It continued:

Even the beasts of the field pant for you because the water brooks are dried up, and fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
And at the bottom barely visible is:
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

Here is what it looked like:

Tell others about this. Of all the pages in the Bible, that’s the one this man found and that’s something considering the intensity of the fires! That really is amazing!
