Zachary Benson

A 24 year old Ohio man was arrested for threatening to assassinate Donald Trump following the election last Wednesday on November 9th.

Zachary Benson tweeted out the following threats after 1 a.m. last Wednesday.

  • “My life goal is to assassinate Trump. Don’t care if I serve infinite sentences. That man deserves to decease existing.”
  • “Diplomacy. (Expletive) Fools. I hate you all. I want to bomb every one of your voting booths and your general areas.”

After Benson was arrested, documents show he was singing a different tune.

They report he was “very apologetic” and he was “watching the election returns when he decided to post the threatening statements.”

The report continued:

“Benson said he knew he ‘went too far’ with the posts, and upon waking up in the morning he immediately deleted the posts from his account.”

And

“Benson insisted he never intended any harm to anyone and would not want anything to happen to Trump or the general public despite his threat about bombing ‘general areas.’”

It’s about time these radical and crazed individuals are prosecuted for their crimes and extreme hate and inciting of violence. This is not how America behaves and it should no longer be tolerated!
