Johnny Cash was the ultimate country singer. He was true to his southern roots and loved entertaining.
During a 1978 TV special, Johnny brought Kris Kristofferson on stage. Kris had written “Sunday Morning Coming Down,” which Cash had taken to #1 on the Country charts 10 years prior. The songwriter joined the star, in the video below, to perform this classic song which Johnny considered to be one of his favorites.
Terrific! I really prefer the songs of yesteryear, when the talent was pure and didn’t need autotune.
