Steve Martin Takes Johnny Carson By Surprise – This Is HILARIOUS!

There would be no Jimmy Kimmel, no Daily Show, no Jimmy Fallon, no Stephen Colbert, or other late night hosts, if not for Johnny Carson.

Carson was the icon of late-night television for 30 years as folks tuned in at 11:30 EST each night. He learned the ropes from former hosts Steve Allen and Jack Paar.

Carson had such a great rapport with his guests. He played along with their gags and rolled with the punches even when surprised.

It’s so great! Carson is obviously cracking up but he’s such a pro he goes along with Martin’s gag. Some hosts would not stand for that, wanting shows to be orderly and set. However, Carson didn’t have that issue and Martin knew it.
