Linda Ronstadt

Linda Ronstadt was hailed “the First Lady of Rock” and “Top Female Pop Singer of the Decade” by the late 1970s. But her first #1 hit and the biggest hit of her career didn’t come until 1975.

That hit was “When Will I Be Loved.” The song was originally a top-10 hit for the Everly Brothers in the 1960s, but Ronstadt turned it into a hit country song on her breakthrough album Heart Like A Wheel.

Take a listen to this gorgeous song as she sings with Andrew Gold and Kenny Edwards:

Now that’s some good ole fashioned country. I can listen to this all day, it’s just so good.

Unfortunately, Linda Ronstadt no longer performs due to her ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Luckily, we can still enjoy her music.
