Liberals are furious this week after a newly introduced bill in Tennessee stated it would allow gun owners to sue property owners if they are injured in gun free zones.

According to Weaselzippers, the bill allows people to sue if they were injured in an area where they would have otherwise been carrying a gun, if they were allowed to do so. The proposed bill is called Senate Bill 1736, and it’s sponsored by Sen. Dolores Gresham, R-Somerville.

“It is the intent of this section to balance the right of a handgun carry permit holder to carry a firearm in order to exercise the right of self-defense and the ability of a property owner or entity in charge of the property to exercise control over governmental or private property,” the bill states.

A handgun carry permit holder who is injured in a gun-free zone will be able to file a lawsuit within two years of the incident if they meet the following criteria:

the plaintiff had to be authorized to carry a gun at the time of the incident
the plaintiff was prohibited from carrying a firearm because of the gun-free sign
the property owner was not required to be posted by state or federal law but was posted by choice of the defendant

Liberals are demanding this law be destroyed, but we LOVE it! SHARE this story if you support this new bill!
