We’ve seen it before: One species steps in to take care of the young of an entirely different one. But it never stops being an incredible wonder to behold.
Recently, Shannon Torrez, owner of a Sharpei-pitbull named Asia, decided to take on care taking responsibilities for a litter of kittens left on a friend’s front steps. However, she never expected who she’d have a lot of help from in that department!
As soon as the kittens were introduced into her home, her dog Asia began acting strange, becoming increasingly interested in the new litter. Soon enough, she took over complete responsiblity for the kittens, nursing and protecting them as her own.
