Abandoned homes have a lot of mystery. They have stories to tell about the people who used to live there and things that are left behind can give clues as to what they did and why or how they may have left.
Ransom Riggs is the author of the book “Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children.” He went to Europe to discover some abandoned homes and castles in attempt to breath life into his story. And it was an interesting journey.
It makes you wonder why so many things are left behind. Why would someone leave a lonely suit hanging in the closet? And why would such beautiful homes be abandoned? Why wouldn’t someone else choose to live there?
This book has been made into a movie. It’s a story about children who live secret lives because of their unusual gifts. Much like the abandoned homes Riggs discovered, these children hide many mysteries.
