Back in 2015, Johnny Depp and then-wife Amber Heard landed in hot water when they failed to declare their two terrier dogs, Pistol and Boo, to Australian customs after arriving in the country via private jet.

Heard managed to escape the matter unscathed last spring. But new allegations against Depp have brought the issue back to the forefront:

Johnny Depp allegedly lied to authorities when he claimed to have accidentally smuggled his dogs into Australia, his former business managers, The Management Group (TMG), claim.

In legal documents filed by TMG and obtained by PEOPLE, the former managers allege that the actor was “fully aware that he was illegally bringing his dogs to Australia” when he was in the country filming the latest Pirates of the Caribbean film in May 2015.

Even worse, Australian Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce contends that, if the allegations are true, Depp could face perjury charges in Australia:

“If the allegation is correct, there’s a word for that – it is called perjury,” Mr Joyce told the Australian Broadcasting Corp.

“We’re an island continent and we take biosecurity very seriously and it doesn’t matter if you think that you’re Mr Who’s Who of Hollywood, you’re going to obey our laws.”

It’s been a bad week for Depp. Last week, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor drew criticism when he appeared to make a death threat against President Donald Trump.
