Liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore took to Twitter this week to call for a boycott of General Motors, Fiat Chrysler, and Toyota. The reason? These automobile manufacturers dared to express support for President Donald Trump’s position on California’s odious fuel emissions standards.
Michael Moore Goes After Automakers
“Trump has ordered an end to California’s strict car pollution standards and wants to force Californians to buy the more polluting cars that the rest of the country drives…” Moore tweeted.
“Yesterday, General Motors, Chrysler and Toyota announced they are supporting and BACKING Trump in his efforts to kill the planet. Friends — never, ever buy a car from these companies — and let them know it…”

Breitbart reports that the boycott call comes after these three automakers filed to join a Trump administration lawsuit against the state of California. In the Federal lawsuit, the Trump administration seeks to block new auto emission rules in California and 13 other states that would be the strictest in America.
Additionally, Nissan, Mazda, Kia, and Hyundai plan to join in the fight against the state of California.
Trump Administration v. California
The Trump administration claims that individual states are not allowed to impose their own tailpipe emission standards and zero-emission vehicle mandates. In addition, the White House argues that this policy should be set on a nationwide level.
Washington D.C. has already adopted California’s clean car standards, as have the following twelve states: New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Washington, Vermont, New York, Maine, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Colorado.
In another Twitter rant, Moore praised the companies Ford, BMW, and Honda for siding with California and thus far refusing to join the lawsuit.
“In the good news department, Honda, Ford and BMW sided with Earth and announced they would defy Trump and continue selling only the cleaner cars in California (btw, if you are selling them there, please sell them in the other 49 states)…” Moore wrote.
“Note: All internal combustion engine cars are a threat to the planet and must be phased out ASAP. Light rail, bullet trains, low/no emission buses, ride-sharing, less sprawl/vertical living, low-consumption neighborhoods and safe bicycle and walking paths, please.”

Moore: A Radically Anti-Trump Liberal
This auto manufacturing boycott isn’t the first shamelessly Leftist antic by Moore. After all, the Farenheit 9/11 and Bowling For Columbine filmmaker is one of the most radically anti-Trump individuals in Hollywood.
Last month, he took it to yet another level. This time Moore blamed the entire Republican Party for nothing more than the extinction of the human race.
“This party triggered our extinction by pushing a greed-based, climate-denying agenda,” Moore said.
Where does this guy get his material? As far as we can tell, every statement is crazier than the last.
