Glen Campbell entertained us for decades. Now, the country legend and his family could use our prayers as he continues his battle with Alzheimer’s.

His wife, Kim, has been very honest with Glen’s fans about his health. She previously announced that he was in the final stages of Alzheimer’s and that he had been moved to a care facility where his many needs could be met.

Now, she has announced more heartbreaking information. Glen can no longer play the guitar. He still tries by playing air guitar. And he enjoys visits from his daughter Ashley, who plays Emmylou Harris or Johnny Cash songs.

Kim also said that Glen has lost his speech and doesn’t seem to understand language. What a horrific disease to strip someone of so much. This disease doesn’t discriminate. It doesn’t care if you are rich or poor or famous.

Glen had so much talent and we were fortunate that he shared it with us all. Watch him play “Ghost Riders In The Sky” with Roy Clark in the video below and remember what a terrific country musician he was.

Glen’s music transcends generations. He connected with so many people with his guitar and his voice. I particularly favor him singing “Gentle On My Mind.”

Share this if you are praying for Glen Campbell and his family!
