Today’s parents often complain about common core math. It can be hard to understand and at times just doesn’t make any sense.
The skit below of Michael Jackson and Flip Wilson trying to split a bill for lunch may give us some insight into the origins of common core math. I feel like Flip when I’m trying to help my kids with their math homework!
That sounds like today’s common core math! It might have given Michael some extra money but the rest of us are just confused!
