Beth Chapman, the wife of the legendary Dog the Bounty Hunter, is currently in the fight of her life as she battles “incurable” throat cancer. Now, Dog himself has opened up about how her cancer battle is bringing him closer to God.
“I pray a lot, anywhere. I cry all the time,” Dog explained, according to The Christian Post. “I’m a sinner. I pray a lot. I have done double that. I constantly ask God to heal my honey and make sure He takes care of it.”
“I’ve been telling him that I’m going to try and quit smoking and cursing. I’m a deal maker, and I’ll do anything,” he added.
Beth, 51, was first diagnosed with throat cancer in 2017 and she successfully battled it into remission. However, just a few weeks ago, doctors discovered that the cancer had returned and was far more serious this time around. By the time they caught it, the cancer had already spread to Beth’s lungs and has been classified as incurable.
Though doctors told Beth that she should undergo four to eight chemo sessions, she has decided to try alternative therapy. Against her doctors’ advice, Beth left the hospital and headed home to Colorado where she is trying to stay active.
“Beth will not take anything the doctors want to give her,” Dog said. “Even the doctor told me he doesn’t want her to have seizures if the pain is that bad, but she won’t do it.”
Beth Chapman planning her own funeral
Dog went on to say that Beth has been planning her own funeral, something that he does not want to face himself.
“I think I’m in a bad dream and I need to wake up. People keep saying to me, ‘Dog, are you OK?'” he said, adding that he would like his fans to please “pray” for Beth.
Beth is far too young to be going through this and she needs a miracle now more than ever. We can only hope that our prayers are answered and God is able to heal Beth of this horrid disease. Please join us in saying a prayer for Beth and the rest of the Chapman family!
