Many are saying that dramatic raw video of a group of good Samaritans rescuing a family during a tornado in Myrtle Springs, Texas, shows the power of prayer and community.
A man was traveling in a truck with his infant and toddler when the vehicle flipped and got stuck in fast-moving water. Several people came upon them and did everything they could to rescue them.
As tornado sirens blared, the team of good Samaritans went to work without concern for their own safety. It appeared that even after they rescued the infant and started CPR, she may not have survived.
Then a woman started praying. “Dear Jesus, please let this baby breathe,” she prayed. “Dear Jesus, please let this baby breathe.” Tom Mitchell, who recorded the video, said as soon as she started praying, he could tell there was a change in the child.
You can see the amazing video below. Many are saying it proves how powerful prayer can be!
Mitchell said he posted the video because he believes “it shows how the community and strangers all come together.” That is definitely the case! These seemingly average Americans saved three lives!
The father reported that he and his infant son are doing better. His daughter is stable and doing better. She is still under sedation but they are going to be removing the breathing tube soon.
These courageous rescuers had no concern for their own safety in the middle of a tornado. They had to help this family. They are all heroes!
Share this if you believe in the power of prayer!
