People love great stories when it comes to horse racing. How about the idea of a horse with only one eye winning the Kentucky Derby?

Well, this story could become real. Meet Patch, the one-eyed horse who has a great chance of winning The Run for the Roses!

Patch was born with an ailment in his left eye and, unfortunately, doctors could not save it.

Trainer Todd Pletcher sent the horse to his father’s rehabilitation clinic. Thankfully, Patch was found to be in good racing condition.

Patch will race in this weekend’s Kentucky Derby:
